Chris Hines, the man who was allegedly assaulted by Lloyd Banks in Canada over the weekend, has come forward to discuss the highly publicized incident.

While trying to keep certain details out, booking agent Chris Hines said he was, indeed, the victim.

"It was at Blanford, Ontario, [I was just the booking agent,] correct," Hines said in an interview. "There's a little more to the story, like I said, I don't want to get in to it too much. But the most accurate story of all of them is on MTV which has got put up right now. MTV.com, that's the most accurate of all stories. But he was paid in advance. We got into a confrontation of course, they assaulted me and kept me there for a little while. It was probably like for 20 minutes, 30 minutes. They had me there for quite some time. But so far, the things I'm seeing online, the most accurate is on MTV. Like, I worked for the guys for years and I don't really know what the f*ck they were thinking, if they were watching a movie earlier I don't know what that's about. The whole incident that night had nothing to do with me and everybody knows that." (Hollywood Street King)
Reportedly still being held under police custody, details on what sparked the arrest have landed online.

G-Unit's Lloyd Banks is being held by police in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, on assault and robbery charges after an incident involving a local promoter on Friday night. Authorities say that Banks and three others assaulted the promoter after the G-Unit member performed at Club NV in nearby Blandford late Friday night. Sergeant Brad Finucan of the Waterloo Regional Police's Criminal Investigations branch told MTV News on Sunday (January 10) that Banks (real name: Christopher Lloyd) and three associates got into a dispute with the promoter at a local hotel over payment for performance and an appearance fee. The promoter's name was withheld by police. The promoter alleged that early Saturday morning the lyricist and three associates -- Nicklas Sloane, Shawn McGee, and Tyrell Cooper -- held him in his hotel room against his will, assaulted and robbed him. All four men were charged with forceful confinement, aggravated assault and robbery. The four made a video court appearance on Sunday afternoon (January 10) and are due to appear in court again early this week. They remained in police custody at press time. (MTV)
Speculation on the arrest circulated throughout Saturday afternoon.

New York rapper and G-Unit honcho Lloyd Banks has been arrested along with four other men in Ontario Canada. Banks, real name Christopher Charles Lloyd, and four others allegedly sequestered road manager and "Canadian booking artist" Chris Hines of Chris Hines/ Ultimate Ent in a hotel near Kitchener (Ontario, Canada) where Banks was scheduled to perform. According to accounts of the alleged incident, they assaulted Hines and left him to be rushed to hospital. Hines suffered a few minor lacerations as well as a bruised eye and a possible head trauma. Details will be posted as they become available. (Def Sounds)
Aside from legal issues, Banks recently announced the forthcoming release of his third solo album.

"For y'all that don't know," Banks told a screaming crowd at New York's BB Kings this week, "y'all can expect my next album second quarter of next year. That's June, in here for the summer time. So y'all out there following my mixtape sh*t, for y'all that been following my mixtape sh*t -- my fifth mixtape of the year, V5, will be out [December] 28th. That's five mixtapes, that's really albums. I bust my a** more than the average artist this year. Y'all better take your a** out to the store. " (Real Talk NY)
