Kanye West has commented on his new BAPE photo shoot images landing online and described his admiration for the popular high-end clothing company.

Writing on his blog, Yeezy explained his experience as the Spring 2010 cover man.

"THIS SHOOT WAS MAD FUN," he wrote Thursday (December 24). "THIS COLLECTION USES REALLY GREAT FABRICS, EASY TO WEAR CUTS AND STILL THE OCCASIONAL SUPER EXPRESSIVE DECADENT PRINTS. BAPE RAN THE LAST DECADE AND THEY'RE READY FOR THE NEXT ONE!" (Kanye West's Blog)
Ye's shots were photographed by renowned camera man Keiichi Nitta.

Every season, BAPE releases a much sought after look book for its loyal and newly acquired fans to get a closer and more complete look at upcoming collections and items. The book is less so a catalog but more of a magazine chocked with features and stories tailored around the label's upcoming seasonal collection. This time around, BAPE enlisted the rather controversial but nonetheless popular and widely discussed artist/fashion icon, Kanye West, to model the label's Spring 2010 collection items in a photo shoot by Japanese photographer, Keiichi Nitta. Aside from linking with Louis Vuitton in the past, Ye recently showed his keen fashion sense by working with Nike to release his limited edition Air Yeezy's last spring.

Air Yeezy was developed from a strong relationship between West and Nike. Partnering with Nike Creative Director, Mark Smith, Kanye was taken through the product creation process, the same way athletes have with Nike Design for the past 37 years. This creative partnership of Smith and West's talents as designers yielded a unique Nike Sportswear sneaker. "Kanye could wear and perform in these shoes and really identify how we could make the shoes perform better," Smith said in a statement. (Press Release)
Aside from fashion, Ye hit the stage at a Kid Cudi concert earlier this week to speak on his recent hiatus.

"I had to get up out this motherf*cker for a second," Ye told the crowd. "I love the game so much and I'm so passionate about it that I just can't take this sh*t sometimes. And if they take everything away from me it wouldn't f*cking matter. Artists be too concerned about their well-being sometimes. Artists be too scared to stand up for something. They scared to lose they f*cking house or they scared to lose their record deal. I sold my soul to the devil, I know it's a crappy deal/At least it came with a few toys like a Happy Meal."
