was arrested late Saturday (August 22) after being stopped at a drunken driving checkpoint near Marina del Rey, reports the Los Angeles Times.The singer, who is readying her first new album in five years, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving at 10:40 PM, reported the Los Angeles Police Department's Officer Cleon Joseph.
In 2004, Evans and husband Todd Russaw, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine at a traffic stop in the Atlanta, Georgia area, and spent 13 weeks in rehab.
Evans' upcoming album, Something About Faith
, will feature artists such as Snoop Dogg, Redman, Keisha Cole, Raekwon and others, and is due in stores on October 5.From HipHopDX.com
