Incarcerated rapper Lil Wayne reportedly owes over $1 million in taxes to the Internal Revenue Service.

According to reports, a tax iien was filed against Wayne in early June.

Lil Wayne owes some serious cash money to the IRS, which filed a $1.13 million tax lien against the star last month, according to Florida court records. The IRS filed a $1,138,760 lien against Carter on June 3 in Dade County (Fla.) Circuit Court. According to the lien, which you can see here, he owes income taxes from 2004, 2005 and 2007. The address on the lien is the same office occupied by his One Family Foundation charity. (Detroit News)

Producer Bangladesh recently accused Cash Money Records co-owner Baby of withholding money from Wayne.

"This is why Manny Fresh don't f*ck with [Cash Money] because he never got any royalty money," he said in an interview. "That's why Baby can go around flaunting this cash, because that's everyone else's money... It's not even Wayne's fault. Wayne is not getting money. He is given money, he's not getting money. If Baby gets a million dollars he'll buy Wayne a Phantom, but that's in Cash Money's name. That 14-bedroom mansion isn't Wayne sh*t. That's why he have his own company, because he was trying to leave Cash Money and the only thing that would keep him there was [if they] gave him his own thing. But Baby still controls that. All those Young Money artists don't even know that they not getting royalty money." (VIBE)

Currently incarcerated on a gun conviction, Wayne released a letter to fans this week.

"So I've been writing and let me be the first to tell you that the lyrics that I'm writing are... well there's no word that I can think of that properly defines them. Amazing would be too typical and perfect would be unfair. I listen to the radio sometimes, emphasis on sometimes, and I hear the new music. I like some. I applaud my Young Money family for what they're doing. As I'm not surprised. This is what we're supposed to do. Congrats to Drake and Nicki for all their recent success. Those 2 are going to have me retiring early. I love my team. Much love to Tez and Mack. I know that people are inquisitive of what I do all day, so here goes. I wake up around 11AM. Have some coffee. Call my kids, and my wonderful mother. I then shower up. Read fan mail. Have lunch. Back on the phone. Read a book or write some thoughts down. Have dinner. Phone. Pushups. Then I listen to ESPN on the radio. Read the bible, then sleep. That's my day." (Weezy Thanx You)

Despite serving a one-year jail sentence, Wayne could be out as early as November.

Lil Wayne is approximately halfway through his one-year jail sentence, which began March 8 when the superstar MC turned himself into authorities after reaching a plea deal. According to prison records accessed by MTV News, the rapper has a projected release date of November 4. Pending any violations or infractions for behavioral issues, the rapper is expected to see the light of day eight months after entering prison. (MTV)

Birdman's Oil & Natural Gas Venture Under Fire, Williams Brothers Decline To Comment

News: Birdman's Oil & Natural Gas Venture Under Fire, Williams Brothers Decline To Comment

The legitimacy of Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman's new Bronald Oil & Gas Company is now being questioned.

According to reports, the company's locations and listings have not been verified.

As for what Bronald is doing in the oil and natural-gas business, the Williams brothers declined through their publicist, Kia Selby, to comment. Selby said she was unable to provide information about the oil company. Bronald doesn't have a listed telephone number. Numbers for residences in New Orleans and Florida that are linked to Bronald in state records don't take incoming calls. (Bloomberg)
Officials within the oil industry have also reportedly denied its knowledge of Bronald Oil.

Further reports by Bloomberg show that the oil company is listed as serving oil to Oklahoma, Florida and New Orleans, but Oklahoma's oil industry authority claimed to have never heard of such a company and said that they have never partnered with Bronald Oil & Gas LLC. Records in Oklahoma also list the address for the corporation to be a beach front condo in Florida. This all doesn't add up to be a good scenario for Bronald especially since they just launched. (Woooha)
Earlier this month, Birdman confirmed his venture into the oil industry.

"I've been in the oil business about 4 or 5 years now," he revealed in an interview. "That's something me and my brother decided to do outside of music. I read about oil a lot and I was able to get in business. [My company] is called Browner Oil, and I'm making good money off that; that's something for my kids and my kids' kids. They can live off that money forever. I did a few different deals. That was just one of them. When you're dealing with oil, you buy in different areas. Right now I'm active; I got pumps and sh*t that are getting money monthly. I like that oil sh*t. I'm gonna put some more time into it." (Ozone Magazine)
Reports of the venture began to circulate online last month.

Bronald Oil & Gas are using several locations to develop oil and gas outlets, such as Osage County, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and unidentified Central America sites. The Williams brothers have issued a mission statement which lists key initiatives which they believe will be instrumental in developing oil and gas energy production in the 21st century: Forming strategic alliances with other operators to leverage their respective experience and strengths on development. Forming partnerships with service, equipment and technology companies. By partnering with such companies, some of our fields may be designated as "testing ground" for new and developing technologies. Lil Wayne Records Four Videos In One Weekend

Lil Wayne Records Four Videos In One Weekend
February 11, 2010 09:02:00 AM CST | by Slava Kuperstein

Although Lil Wayne will spend a year in prison, fans will get to see plenty of the rapper, as he recorded four music videos this past weekend.

According to MTV News, Cash Money heads Ronald "Slim" Williams and Brian "Baby" Williams entlisted the servies of video director David Rousseau to shoot nine videos. Production reportedly began at 9:00 AM on Friday (Feb 5), and finished around 8:00 AM on Sunday (Feb 7). [Editor's Note: HipHopDX learned Thursday morning that Wayne in fact shot four weekend videos, to add to five already finished shoots.]

"We shot some shit from the [We Are Young Money compilation] album, we shot something from [Wayne's forthcoming] Tha Carter IV. Some stuff from [Wayne's recent LP] Rebirth," said the director. "We knew what our deadline was. We're trying to get maximum coverage for Wayne. Most of the time we only shot Wayne's verses — we'll finish the rest of the videos off in the next couple of weeks."

Rousseau elaborated, explaining the magnitude of the task at hand. "Cash Money said, 'This is our deadline. This is a hard deadline.' It was basically a Mission: Impossible [scenario]: This is your mission if you choose to accept it. Everybody is onboard because everybody knows what's at stake. Unlike T.I. and some of these other guys that's disappeared while they were in, the point is to keep Wayne [visible] on TV and everything for whatever time he's in. There was a plan in action. Slim and Baby really could foresee that. He's at the height of his career, you can't let that momentum slip."

Among the videos that were recorded were "Da Da Da," "Knockout" and "Get a Life" from Rebirth, and an unnamed "complete secret" track from Carter IV.

UPDATE: HipHopDX learned that Houston veteran and ABN (Asshole By Nature) alum Trae Tha Truth was involved in Wayne's shoots. While in Miami for the Wayne-related festivities, Trae shot three videos of his own. One of those videos was "Inkredible," which features Wayne and Rick Ross.

The song is said to be the single from Tha Truth, do on Universal/Fontana later this year. Other videos included Young Buck and Trae's brother Jay'Ton.

The former Rap-A-Lot artist also attended Wayne's going away party, alongside Drake, Nicki Minaj and Juelz Santana.

Baby On Riding Shotgun W/ Rick Ross, "He Can Rap His A** Off"

News: Baby On Riding Shotgun W/ Rick Ross, "He Can Rap His A** Off"

Cash Money Records co-founder Baby recently spoke on working with Rick Ross on an upcoming collabo album, The H, and explained why his "partner" is a certified hitmaker.

Birdman also discussed his decision to move Cash Money Records to Ross' Miami, Florida hometown.

"We are still making it happen," the Cash Money mogul said of the impending release with the self-proclaimed Boss tentatively entitled The H--which is due out early this year. "Ross is my partner. He's already great to me. He's got the mind and the talent to do what he wants as far as rap goes. He can rap his ass off. He's going to constantly make hits. The town has bust open. I've learned a lot being in Miami. It's different from where we come from. I felt like we had to leave New Orleans in order to grow. My city is small; the state of Louisiana is small. I'm from there and I love it. I'm 504 'til I go. I still have a house there and I still go there. But at some point you have to grow." (VIBE)
Rap mogul Diddy also recently co-signed "The Boss" and likened him to the late Notorious B.I.G.

"Oh y'all ain't hear the second verse," Diddy said about Ross' 'Angels' collaboration. "Yo, y'all gonna peep that when we world premiere that. I don't know, I guess him and Biggie locked up in the room, even my man Hen Roc even said that. For my man Hen Roc to say that and co-sign it like 'Yo, my man right there sounding like our homie.' That right there is something special. That's a mean co-sign, that's a mean co-sign. I don't know what was going on in the studio, the spirits were connecting but it's official. It ain't bootleg, it ain't got no preservatives in it." (Spliff TV)
The rapper later offered his reaction to Diddy's statements.

"Yeah, that's big," Ross told DJ Envy referring to the co-sign. "That's most definitely big, but I want New York City, I'll never get it twisted, the magic that Notorious B.I.G. created could never be duplicated. That most definitely was my mentor, that's who music I wrote to the most. Hearing that come from Diddy himself is big and it's inspiration to keep making hot music." (Power 105.1)
Ross recently spoke with SOHH about predicting he would make the best records for 2010.

"Honestly, n*ggas can talk sh*t but it's hard to really make predictions other than lord willing we'll be still here, you know what I"m saying," Ross told SOHH. "N*ggas here, free, alive, other than that, we just gonna make the best music we gonna make. And I feel it's gonna compete with the best music that's being made right now." (SOHH)

Cash Money CEO's Get Into Gas/Oil Business

Cash Money CEO's Get Into Gas/Oil Business
Wednesday, January 20, 2010 10:07 AM
By Ismael AbduSalaam

(AllHipHop News) Entrepreneurs and Cash Money CEOs Bryan "Baby" and Ronald "Slim" Williams are moving their skills to a new venture in Bronald Oil & Gas, an independent company centered on identifying and using gas and oil reserves.

Bronald Oil & Gas are using several locations to develop oil and gas outlets, such as Osage County, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and unidentified Central America sites.

The Williams brothers have issued a mission statement which lists four key initiatives which they believe will be instrumental in developing oil and gas energy production in the 21st century:

Implementing proven and new cost-effective technologies to profitably recover oil and gas and extend the product life of existing reserves

Forming strategic alliances with other operators to leverage their respective experience and strengths on development

Forming partnerships with service, equipment and technology companies. By partnering with such companies, some of our fields may be designated as “testing ground” for new and developing technologies.

Building a strong investor and financial partner base by assembling and offering low to moderate risk (relative to the industry) recompletion and developmental drilling opportunities, as well as more risky exploration and development opportunities.

Bronald is seeking to work with government and private investors in these efforts while adhering to regulations that will benefit the environment.

“Bronald is committed to working cooperatively with governments and private enterprise to recover energy from known oil and gas reserves throughout North and Central America in an environmentally friendly manner,” the company states on its new website. “Bronald intends to utilize both historically successful technologies and means, as well as new innovations and technology, to recover energy resources in both and economic and environmentally efficient manner. Bronald is committed to preserving the environment, promoting worker safety and maximizing the potential output of various oil and gas assets.”
